If soul mates exist, you are mine: Ashley + Tom's Hoo Trailer from Saint Martin

Somewhere in the French Caribbean, we landed on the small island of Saint Martin (St. Martin, St. Maarten, St. Marten, depending on whether you are looking for the English, Dutch, or French spelling) for Ashley and Tom's long awaited wedding week! St. Martin is small and has a dutch side and a french side....the smallest island to have to cultures co exist in that proximity. We adventured around and enjoyed many locations throughout the week. Our first stop, was the famous Sunrise Bar where people hang at the beach to watch the big planes land so closely overhead. It really is pretty surreal! People even hang behind the engines during take off and grip the fence so that they aren't blown away! I even honestly saw a couple of people strolling along the beach just topple over when they weren't paying attention. LOL. From there, we all went to a welcoming party where both families and all of us joined in for a champagne toast and relaxation. After that, it was time. Time for the big day. We began at a pristine rental home where Michele Bell did her thing getting Ashley all dolled up. I just loved the fish net vail, too! Tom was looking sharp in his sear sucker suit. Look out, this film has a cus word, too, thanks to Tom and his shocked reaction during the first look! :) I had to leave it in...because...well, it was real. From there, we headed over the Dreams for the ceremony out on the pier. Lucie Davis did an amazing job having everything on that small doc all set up perfectly. It was way out there and in the midst of some crazy wind out on the ocean! The scenery was beautiful though and the natural noise made you really feel like you're on a secluded island together. Just us, just the wedding. Ashley and Tom's vows are so sweet and real, it will be hard not to tear up on this one. The ceremony was just full of happy tears and genuine moments. Following the ceremony, we moved over to a private outdoor dining area at Dreams where their reception continued with an amazing dinner, ice cream cake with sparklers, and some hot fire dancers! Oh, and let's not forget how much fun we had with the newlyweds and studiOsnap Photography at Pinel Island and Grand Case Beach Club having lunch, hiking, swimming, and shooting underwater footage into a dreamy sunset. Wow, what a week that was in Saint Martin...enjoy all the adventures in this French Caribbean destination wedding film!
