A Roatan Island, Honduras Destination Wedding: Amanda + Jeremy's reverent celebration of love
Amanda and Jeremy's guests were delivered a message in a bottle…an invitation that opened up as a scroll. Along with that, they were delivered a map to Roatan Island , with all the details of their Honduras destination wedding, where their friends and family would travel and witness their magical day. And what better place than this tiny little island to celebrate the most romantic, important day of their lives. So off to Roatan everyone went, with the first party stop being the French Keys, a little place with restaurants, bars, kayaking, riding horses in the water and swimming with jaguars….you know, normal stuff like that. There was this one ledge that everyone would line up to dive off into the water. Jeremy and his buddies were filming themselves and having a blast until…..oh, snap! That's right, oh snap. After rushing Jeremy to two international hospitals, they wrapped his arm in a sling, and without any answers, assume he's walking around with a broken arm. Talk about taking a hit the night before your wedding day. Poor guy was in so much pain the day of the wedding, but you know what, he handled it like a champ. Seriously. (Can you imagine being in that much pain and having to say hi to all your friends and family, smile, and hug, all while foregoing pain killers so you can make sense for that unforgettable ceremony moment?) I think the excitement and anticipation of marrying such a stunning bride must've give him all the comfort he needed. And stunning is an understatement. Amanda and her girls exchanged gifts and incredible words with each other as she got all dolled up. With those piercing blue eyes and a gorgeous smile, not much dolling up was really needed. Fighting back many, many tears of joy, Amanda put her gorgeous dress on and headed over to the balcony at Pristine Bay to marry the man of her dreams. The ceremony set up could not have been more beautifully arranged and the guests were just gleaming with excitement. The men even showed up crafting their own slings to support Jeremy and his poor arm. The vows these two exchanged….wow…just wow. Let's just say there wasn't a dry eye in the house. This may have been one of the funniest, yet emotional ceremonies I've ever witnessed! These two are so in love, it just emulated throughout the day. It was clear each and every individual felt and shared the love on the island that day…and all throughout the night. Until one last surprise Jeremy had for his gorgeous bride…a firework show. We also had a blast shooting with Studio Moirae and can't wait to see the photos from that day!
